magicard-prima-8-retransfer-id-card-printer
Magicard Prima 8 Retransfer ID Card Printer

Give photo ID cards a glossy, professional finish with the Magicard Prima 8 retransfer printer. Its printing process transfers the image from film onto the card, helping organisations produce attractive credentials with artwork extending beyond the card edges.

A different approach to card printing

The image is printed onto retransfer film before being transferred to the card. This is useful when the card design needs to run right to the edges and when choosing a printer for suitable technology cards. Confirm the material and construction of your card with us before ordering.

Choose the right configuration

Archived configurations include single-sided and dual-sided printing, with selected magnetic-stripe or smart-card encoders. An encoder writes data to the card; it is separate from printing its visible artwork. The selected configuration determines which functions are included.

Optional security and finishing

Compatible UV ribbon can add details visible under suitable UV lighting. Lamination and higher-resolution configurations are separate options and are not included in the standard printer listing. The printer uses both a colour ribbon and retransfer film, so include the correct supplies in your printing plan.

Plan your first print run

This is a printer listing rather than a consumables bundle. Order compatible ribbons and suitable blank cards separately. Check the selected configuration, your card material and any encoding requirements before placing your order. Specifications and box contents are shown in the product tabs.

Frequently asked questions

Can this printer encode access cards?
Printing and encoding are separate functions.
