Identify the existing credential

Start with the card reference and the reader or access-control system in use. Cards can look identical while using different chips, frequencies or data formats. A matching appearance or brand name does not establish compatibility.

Programming and enrolment

Check whether the listing supplies a programmed credential or a blank card that needs encoding. Your system may also require cards to be enrolled before they can be used. Tell us any required card format, numbering or system details when asking for advice.

Printed details and access data

Printing a name, photograph or logo is separate from preparing the access data. If you want visible identification on an access card, check that the card surface and your printer are suitable as well as confirming the access-control specification.

Can I replace a card with any card from the same brand?

No. Match the exact technology and format required by the system. Share the existing card reference and system details if you need help identifying a replacement.

Will the card work as soon as it arrives?

This depends on the credential and your system. Check the listing for programming requirements and arrange any necessary enrolment with the person who manages your access-control system.
