A starter package for printing your own cards
The SMART-21S starter bundle combines a compact single-sided printer, free card-design software, a colour ribbon rated for 100 prints and 100 blank white cards. It is intended for organisations beginning an in-house ID or membership-card programme.
Designed for occasional issuance
Feed a card by hand when you are ready to print. The single LED button keeps operation straightforward, and the small desktop format is easy to accommodate at a reception desk or in an office. For regular batches, consider the automatic feeders on the SMART-31 or SMART-51.
Personalise the front of your card
This is a single-sided printer. Use the front for a clear photograph, name and organisation branding; choose an automatic dual-sided model if your workflow needs reverse-side printing. Its direct-to-card process is intended for suitable smooth card stock.
Design your cards before the first print run
IDP provides SMART IDesigner for card layout and issuance. It supports photographs, text and barcodes so you can build a consistent design for your organisation. Check the software and driver requirements for the computer you will use; specialist database or encoding work may need additional configuration.
Add a visual check to your cards
SmartMark lets you customise the clear overlay with a design, text or logo. UV printing is a separate capability requiring a compatible UV-panel ribbon and a UV light for inspection. Choose the ribbon for the effect you need; a standard colour ribbon does not automatically provide UV printing.

Does it print both sides automatically? No: the SMART-21S is a single-sided, hand-fed printer. How many cards can I start with? The package has 100 blank white cards and a colour ribbon rated for 100 prints. Does a computer come with it? No; the laptop in the lifestyle image illustrates use, and the box artwork is for presentation only.
