The Entrust Sigma DS2 offers single-sided and dual-sided configurations for staff, student, membership and visitor cards. Choose single-sided printing when all of your information fits on the front, or select dual-sided printing to place instructions, contact details or a barcode on the reverse. Entrust also markets this model as the Datacard DS2.

A connected workspace for card production

USB and Ethernet let you plan where the printer will sit and how it connects to your computers. The printer dashboard provides status and cleaning information to help operators manage routine tasks. Before deployment, check your network arrangements and the version of card-design software you intend to use.

Protect your issuance workflow

Encryption, Secure Boot and a Trusted Platform Module support the security of the printer. Your card programme still needs appropriate control of personal data, artwork and user access. If you need to encode an access card, confirm the exact credential technology and software requirements; the printing configuration alone does not include an encoder.

Buy the configuration rather than just the model name

The single-sided and dual-sided options are separate configurations with different prices. Select the version needed for your card design before ordering. Optional wireless and encoding equipment must be specified separately. The image of the dashboard illustrates printer management; a phone or tablet is not included.

Will the single-sided option automatically print the back? No: choose the dual-sided configuration for that workflow. Are ribbon, cards and software bundled?
