Keep regular card production moving

The standard 100-card feeder supports batch printing without loading every card individually. Colour profiles and enhanced print modes help reproduce photographs, logos and fine details. Rated throughput depends on the ribbon: up to 235 cards per hour with YMCKO, 280 with half-panel colour and 170 with YMCKOK dual-sided printing. Encoding and print settings can affect actual speed.

Choose single-sided or dual-sided printing

Select single-sided for designs on one face, or dual-sided for cards with information on both sides. Duplex printing can be useful when you want a clear photograph and name on the front with instructions or other details on the reverse. The printer uses direct-to-card printing for edge-to-edge designs and can also work with dedicated rewritable cards.

Select the encoding option for your cards

The listed choices include no encoder, magnetic stripe, SpringCard Crazy Writer HSP, OMNIKEY 5122 and Elatec TWN4. The encoder is included only when that configuration is selected. An encoder alone does not make a card compatible with every access-control system: card technology, security credentials and software must also match. Ask us to confirm the exact encoder requirement before ordering for an existing system.

Protect card information and improve durability

Digital erasing removes sensitive job data from the printer memory. Compatible YMCKOO ribbons can add a second overlay layer, while additional security requirements can be addressed with optional equipment. Kineclipse ribbon-data masking, mechanical locking, a scanner and the lamination module are separate model options; they are not included in the configurations listed here.

Make temporary cards reusable

Rewrite printing is useful for temporary badges whose visible details need to change. With compatible rewritable cards, you can erase and update information for another use. This is a separate media choice from standard colour printing on ordinary plastic cards, so plan the cards and consumables around the application.

Connect, design and manage your cards

These Expert configurations include USB and Ethernet. Evolis provides printer-management software for settings, notifications and assistance, and current manufacturer packages include ID-ALL Starter Edition for card design. If your workflow relies on a specific software licence or existing database, confirm the edition and integration requirements before ordering. Wireless connectivity is a separate configuration and is not included here.

Room to expand as requirements change

The Primacy 2 platform supports options including a larger 200-card feeder, LCD display and lamination. Availability and installation depend on the chosen configuration. The standard feeder for the variants on this page is 100 cards. Evolis provides a three-year manufacturer warranty, subject to its usage, maintenance and consumable conditions.

Are ribbons and cards included?

No. This listing is for the printer configuration, not a ribbon-and-card starter bundle. Select compatible ribbons and cards separately, taking account of whether you will print one or both sides.

Which configuration should I choose?

Start with the number of printed sides, then choose the encoder only if your application needs one. For visual photo ID without encoded data, the no-encoder option avoids paying for hardware you do not need.

Does the magnetic-stripe option include smart-card encoding?

No combined smart-card encoder is promised with the Magnetic Stripe option on this page. If you need both technologies, contact us to confirm a combined configuration.

Can I print access-control cards?

You can print compatible card surfaces, but encoding access credentials requires the correct encoder, cards and software. Share your existing system and card references before choosing an encoded model.

Are the LCD, Wi-Fi or lamination module included?

No. They are separate options or configurations. The listed models have USB and Ethernet and use the standard LED control panel.

Will it work with my computer?
