The Fargo DTC1250e is a practical choice for offices, schools and membership organisations bringing ID production in-house. It prints photographs, names, branding and barcodes onto compatible cards, making it useful for new starters, replacement badges and visitor identification. Choose printing and encoding separately

The available options include single-sided and dual-sided printing, with or without magnetic-stripe encoding. A printed access card is not automatically an encoded credential: select the magnetic encoder only if it matches your cards and system. Contactless and contact-chip encoding are separate capabilities and are not included in these listed configurations.

Keep everyday operation straightforward

Automatic card feeding supports a run of staff or membership cards. The printer’s maintenance tools help with routine care and colour adjustment, while the compact format suits a desk or reception workspace. USB connectivity is included; Ethernet is an optional upgrade rather than part of this standard offer.

Select suitable cards and ribbon

For photos and logos, choose a compatible colour ribbon. Monochrome supplies can suit simple text or barcode work. Check both the ribbon reference and card material before placing an order; familiar brand names alone do not establish compatibility. Rewritable-card printing needs dedicated rewritable stock and a suitable workflow, not ordinary plastic cards.

Will it print both sides automatically?
Choose the dual-sided configuration for automatic reverse-side printing. The single-sided configuration does not include that function.

Are supplies and design software included?
